The CECIP General Assembly meeting 2022 will be hosted in London by the UK Weighing Federation. The event is being held in the The Tower Guoman Hotel, St Katharine's Way, London E1W 1LD, UK

14:00h – 18:00h: Seminar on Legal Metrology - open to delegates to book in but strictly limited to 45 delegates due to fire regulations. Bookings on first come first serve basis

18:45h – 21:30h: Welcome Cocktail Reception - (Included)

The welcome cocktail event will take place on a Thames Riverboat in which we will cruise down the Thames to see the centre of London from the river. The boat will depart from Tower Millennium Pier (a 6 minute walk from the Tower Hotel) at 6.45pm and return to the same pier around 9.15pm . A buffet dinner will be served during the reception.

Gala dinner

Time: 18:45h – 23:00h (all participants)

The gala dinner will take place in the Hall at the Worshipful Company of Cutlers. The hall is several kilometres from the hotel. Coaches will depart from the Tower Hotel at 18.45. Upon arrival, pre dinner drinks will be served.

The Worshipful Company of Cutlers is one of the oldest livery companies of the City of London and received its Royal Charter as far back as 1416. Its function was mainly to protect the interest of its members and ensure high quality standards. At first it focused on the business producing knives and swords, but later the focus changed and also included weighing instruments. Today the organisation mostly focuses on charity and maintaining the traditions of the City of London.

At the end of the evening (approx. 22.30) coaches will be available to transport guests back to the Tower Hotel.

Partner Tour - Time: 09:30h – 17:00h

After meeting the Tour Guide in Reception at the Tower Hotel, you will catch the Clipper boat down to Westminster – it’s a great way to travel and you'll get to see London from the River in daylight. .

You will have a quick walk around the Westminster area and see Big Ben & the Houses of Parliament, Buckingham Palace, 10 Downing Street (home of our Prime Minister) and the Churchill War Rooms (his secret WW2 bunker). You will then tour Westminster Abbey: the UK's Coronation Church and also the burial place of many of our Kings & Queens, plus a number of famous figures.

You will stop for a light lunch in the Westminster area. Following lunch, you will travel to Kensington Palace and tour the Queens State Apartment, and see the Victoria Royal Childhood and Life through a Royal Lens exhibition.

After the visit to Kensington Palace all participants will be taken back to the hotel where they are expected to arrive at 5pm
