On 1st of January 2024 Samuel Schmidt started his work as Secretary General of CECIP replacing Tim Hamers, who held the position during the last 5 years. Samuel Schmidt is joining CECIP from the Stuttgart Region Economic Development Cooperation (WRS), where he was working as Project lead in the section of Labor Market. Previously Samuel has gained experience in international cooperation with the German Corporation for international Cooperation (GIZ) in Bonn and Pristina.
Samuel has very valuable experience and acquired relevant International and European Affairs expertise. We are delighted to have such an experienced and accomplished person supporting CECIP in its efforts to continue representing the European Weighing Industry interests, striving for common and harmonised standards to be adopted at European and International levels. We would like to express a warm welcome to Samuel and wish him much success and satisfaction in his new role.
During Tim Hamers period as Secretary General, CECIP became further evolved as representation of the European Weighing Industry internationally. The culmination of his great contribution was the coordination of the successful International Conference of Weighing 2023 in Hamburg. We would like to thank Tim once again for his great effort in supporting the European Weighing Industry Association wishing him all the best in his new professional challenges.
